Psychiatric findings of the suspected of four murders given to the court

/ Vranje, 27.10.2008. VRANJE PRESS / Findings of the medical team of the Special psychiatric hospital in Toponica near to Nis, after medical examination which lasted several days concerning Boban Mitic (34), suspected to have committed four murders in March of this year, said that “he has no any mental illness or disorder”.

Findings of doctors show that he was, at the moment of committing the criminal act, able to understand the importance of the act that he made and to control his attitude, so he does not suffer of any mental illness or disorder – confirmed the medical findings of the hospital near Nis in an interview for our newspaper Stanisa Mihajlovic, the coroner of the District Court Vranje, who has examined this case. He stated precisely that “with medical findings the process is completed and will end in this way and that it will be forwarded to the District Prosecutor for further decision”, because since the examination to this moment all witnesses have testified and ballistic findings have been taken.

In Mihajlovic opinion, prosecutor might make an indictment, in the framework of legal delays, in a period of fifteen days, but in this case “it is expected it could be done earlier”. Since the suspected Mitic have decided to defend himself, remaining silent in the presence of his attorney, the coroner of the District Court, on 1St October, asked for his psychiatric examination.
After precisely193 days being in escape Boban Mitic was arrested on 26th September in the afternoon in his birth house in Rataje, a village in the Vranje municipality. He was suspected to that, on 16th September, in the family house of his father-in-low Blagoje Ristic, from the Krsevica village, he had shot his wife Suzana (25), his daughter Andjela (2), his son Lazar (4) and his mother-in-low Suncica (47), and had caused serious life-threatening harms to Suzana`s daughter who is invalid now. A court trial could be started in the middle of November at the District court of Vranje.
