He firstly killed his wife, and after that himself
/ Vranje 21.10.2008. – Večernje Novosti / Ilija Stoiljković (74) from Vranjska Banja, on the Thuesday, in the morning, between seven and eight hour, knifed his wife Desanka (68). After this murder, Ilija hanged himself in the garage. His grandson Marko, who was sleeping on the first floor of the family house, found his grandmother. He entered the room and he saw something horrible – his grandmother Desanka, was in bed in her nightdress in a pool of blood with a huge wound to the neck. He called his father Bratislav in a panicked voice, while his mother Vesna was doing her job. - I thought immediately that he had done it, but I did not expect that he would commit suicide. He was enough egoistic – said composedly Bratislav. He said that previous Ilija`s conduct also indicated an event like this, but no one could suppose that it will be a family tragedy. - Last weak my mother was beaten by him. We denounced him to
the police; they came to him, talked to him, and took his gun away from him to
which he had permit cautioning him to stop violating her. He nodded in
agreement and promised them to never raise his hand to the mother – said
Bratislav with tears in his eyes. - When he learned that we denounced him to the police, he
was very angry at the mother. He felt even offended and did not want to talk. I
hear that he made a phone call to my brother-in-low in Belgrade and that he allegedly
told him that “he must do it”, and when my brother-in-low asked “what”, he
replied that he did not say it – recalls Bratislav. - When she set up against him for the first time and called the police, it was obviously trigger in his head to do the most horrible thing – said Bratislav breaking his hands. In the house yard of Stoiljkovic there are many people. All of them, without exception, regret the unhappy woman. No one lauds the murderer.
- He was incredibly hypocrite. When we came, he was very gentle with us; he asked always what our children did, how we lived. On the other side, he was very monstrous – said with aversion a friend of the family Stoiljkovic. S. VELJKOVIĆ |
