The Council of Europe on the trade in human organs
Strasbourg /24 June 2008/ - The
PACE Human Rights and Legal Affairs Commettee at the session held at the end
of June discussed the trade in human organs in Kosovo. Representatives of the Serbian
delegation said that it was the „most important item“ for Serbia and supposed
that victims of the organ trade were Serbs missing from the territory of Kosovo
and Metohija. The information, mostly, came
from the book by former Hague Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte, in which she
claimed that potential victims of the trade organ had been taken from Kosovo
and Metohija into Albania.
